About your hosts
Keith & Pauline Gill
Keith and Pauline Gill have raised five children (two daughters and three sons) and are proud grandparents to five grandsons and one granddaughter.

With over 30 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur in the food industry, Keith now occasionally mentors business students while also managing the Bed & Breakfast.

Pauline, a former English and Drama teacher, retired from full-time teaching in July 2015 to focus on running the B&B, being a devoted grandmother, and exploring her creative passions. Though she has since returned to full-time teaching, her responsibilities at the B&B have been expertly taken over by Helen, who now manages the B&B whenever Keith and Pauline are away.

Keith, an enthusiastic cook, prepares breakfast using only locally sourced ingredients to ensure the highest quality meals for guests.

Together, Keith and Pauline have traveled extensively, drawing inspiration from their experiences as guests in various types of accommodations. They have used these insights to create a warm, welcoming, and comfortable family-style environment at their Bed & Breakfast.
It's a passion...
Food plays an important role at The Old Post Office with the emphasis on fresh, local, seasonal produce. Lanchester and Durham have a wealth of dedicated producers growing the very best ingredients and we take great pride in using these to make your breakfast a memorable experience.
